QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Merchandise, E-commerce or Commercial Retail Category role.
  • Trade, commercial or analytical expertise in end-to-end e-commerce structure.
  • Strong understanding of and experience within retail business, in particular the merchandise and commercial retail environment

We have a great opportunity for an Online Trading Partner who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and loves to build relationships across a wider team.
We’re looking for a dynamic individual to maximise online trading performance across multiple channels, leveraging sharp analytical skills, smart planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver on ambitious sales and profit targets. In this role, you’ll shape seamless customer journeys, optimise merchandising, and bring marketing campaigns to life, all while making a real impact on category and business growth.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Lead the execution of trade planning by activating key focus areas from Trade teams and collaborating with Marketing and Partners to drive initiatives that enhance category profitability and basket economics.
  • Leverage behavioural data, reporting tools, and Google Analytics to inform merchandising decisions, optimize stock allocations with Planners, and ensure effective online inventory levels.
  • Play a key role in delivering Project Mercury (Target on Kmart.com.au) by navigating the complexities of replicating a seamless customer experience online.
  • Collaborate with Merchandise, Tech, and Online teams to bring campaigns to life and implement low-effort, high-impact enhancements, while staying attuned to domestic and global market trends to drive omni-channel merchandising excellence.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams to create compelling online experiences across landing pages and custom trade activations.
  • Leverage insights into Target’s customer proposition and evolving consumer behaviour to optimize merchandising, enhance content, navigation, and search, and drive conversion.
  • Continuously analyse performance, identify gaps, and implement improvements to exceed expectations.
  • Ensure all online content practices are legally compliant, aligned with best practices, up-to-date, and consistently on brand.
