ABOUT THE ROLE

Don’t want to be stuck behind a desk? Have a passion for trucks, machinery and equipment? We are looking for a reliable, customer friendly and fast learning individual to join our Onsite Industrial Team based out of our branch in Pennington, 5013. Enjoy the security of this full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This role would suit a self-motivated individual who is interested in, and has knowledge of trucks, machinery and equipment, or someone who has experience in a similar role or industry. In this hands-on role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate stock and deliveries for the customers sites, ensuring assets are accurately entered into our system, valued (when appropriate), photographed and uploaded to our website
  • Coordinate auctions to ensure assets are ready for sale and in the correct location
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire auction process
  • Conduct thorough catalogue checks to ensure assets are correctly advertised (when required)
  • Complete our pre-auction lotting process to ensure the right flow of sale
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships through regular communication with key contacts regarding reserves and valuations of assets, releases, referrals and marketing options
  • Complete pre-sale site preparations to ensure sale premises complies with WHS requirements
  • Review stock reports and ensure assets are placed for sale in a timely manner while meeting vendor requirements
  • Assist with asset inspections for the Pickles valuations team and their clients

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working with or reasonable knowledge of heavy/civil machinery, plant and equipment. A relevant trade certification would be advantageous with experience in sales or valuations (preferred)
  • Current/valid drivers’ license with ability to drive manual, and a forklift license (essential)
  • Ability and willingness to travel to our customers sites throughout South Australia
  • Competent verbal & written communication skills with high attention to detail
  • High level of interpersonal skills, customer service skills and proven experience in building and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to maintain quality standards and strong time management skills to meet deadline
