REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of AV support experience with a strong emphasis on Crestron systems.
  • Proficiency with Crestron Toolbox for troubleshooting and live debugging.
  • Ability to make programming-level adjustments (button maps, logic flow, device integrations).
  • Familiarity with SIMPL, SIMPL+ or SIMPL# for basic program edits; understanding of Fusion/XiO Cloud.
  • Solid knowledge of AV signal flow, DSP (Biamp, QSC), conferencing platforms (Teams/Zoom/Webex), and streaming workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret Crestron system schematics, wiring diagrams, and as-built documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting across AV-over-IP environments and network-based AV systems.
  • Professional, polished communication skills for high-profile client engagement.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills for service logs, system changes, and ticket tracking.

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Junior Crestron Programmer experience or interest in growing toward a programming role.
  • Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP) or Crestron Level 2 training.
  • Experience with Crestron NVX configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, multicast routing).
  • Knowledge of secure device deployment, PoE, and switch configuration basics.
  • Advanced diagnostic skills for resolving latency issues, bugs, and complex control failures.

Work Schedule & Requirements

  • Onsite, 50 hours per week (core 40 hours + additional event support).
  • Evolving schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on live event and executive meeting requirements.

Responsibilities

Crestron Systems Support

  • Act as the primary onsite specialist for Crestron-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve control system failures, device communication problems, and logic errors.
  • Perform minor programming edits (button maps, logic tweaks, device replacement integration, UI adjustments).
  • Debug and validate programming changes using Crestron Toolbox.
  • Coordinate with external programmers or integrators for escalated issues or larger design modifications.

AV Troubleshooting & Maintenance

  • Perform daily onsite AV troubleshooting and break/fix support across displays, microphones, DSPs, conferencing systems, and networked AV endpoints.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, system health checks, and room validations.
  • Support AV-over-IP environments (Crestron NVX, Dante) including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Track and resolve issues through ticketing platforms, ensuring clear service documentation.

Meeting & Event Support

  • Deliver white-glove AV support for executive-level meetings, boardrooms, and live events.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting of Crestron panels, scheduling systems, and controlled devices during high-stakes sessions.
  • Manage technical setup, in-room monitoring, and post-event breakdown for mission-critical events.
  • Liaise between clients, AV/IT staff, and vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Continuous Improvement & Growth

  • Recommend Crestron code refinements or workflow enhancements based on user needs and recurring issues.
  • Participate in test planning, system validation, and technical documentation of Crestron updates.
  • Complete ongoing Crestron and manufacturer training to expand technical and programming expertise.
  • Provide input for system upgrades and contribute to design refinements.
