Responsibilities

Gyptech is seeking an Onsite Electrical Engineer to join our team. Your role will involve:

  • Spending extended time on-site managing electrical contractors to ensure the successful installation of electrical and control systems during construction phases.
  • Interpreting electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure proper installation and adherence to project requirements.
  • Conducting safety audits and site inspections to assess electrical needs, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to electricians on complex electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Monitoring project progress, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project.
  • Keeping accurate records of project activities, including change orders, time sheets, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Assisting with cost estimating new project installations and generating Electrical Bid Packages for contractor quoting purposes.
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and control systems at Gyptech sites during commissioning and support phases, including VFDs, motor control devices, and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet, Profibus, DH+).
  • Helping with the design, planning and wiring of machines and test equipment at fabrication facilities as needed.

This role will be based either in the office in Växjö, Sweden or Neuburg an der Donau, Germany; however, it is primarily a field position with the requirement to travel internationally on a consistent basis. It is expected the annual travel commitment is a minimum of 75%.
