WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR ONSITE ENGINEERS:
The ideal candidate will bring strong communication and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You’ll be confident in troubleshooting and prioritising tasks, with deep technical expertise across Cisco networking (including voice, wireless, and security), Microsoft technologies (Windows Desktop, Office 365, Azure), Windows Server infrastructure, virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), backup and security tools, and RMM/ticketing systems. A solid understanding of ITIL V3/V4 and service lifecycle is essential, along with relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Server/Desktop support, and ITIL Foundation. You’ll be proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement, fostering trusted relationships and promoting a positive, outcomes-driven service culture. Desirable qualifications include CCNP, VMware VCP, and Microsoft 365/Azure certifications

OVERALL PURPOSE
As an Onsite Engineer you will report to a Service Delivery Manager within Managed Services, the Onsite Engineer provides 2nd and 3rd line onsite support across network, server, and end-user platforms. The role includes proactive maintenance, system administration, technical changes, and small works implementation. Operating across the property management sector, the engineer supports prestigious clients and ensures best practice standards in all engineering activities. The role is predominantly London-based with occasional travel to locations around the UK, driving license is desirable but not essential as all locations are accessible from public transport.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Troubleshooting and support of networking equipment.
b) Participation in on-call cover rotation.
c) Device management and asset register adherence.
d) Site attendance for incident response and PPM.
e) Implementation and administration of network infrastructure (VLANs, ACLs, firewalls).
f) Administration of Radius, TACACS, telephony systems, wireless LAN controllers, and backup solutions.
g) Mentoring junior engineers and promoting knowledge sharing.
h) Managing service requests and applying ITIL change management processes.
i) Supporting small projects and contributing to risk and issue registers.
j) Maintaining technical documentation and ticketing systems.
