POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our Projects Team in Chandler, AZ. This position is based on-site at one of our high-profile customers in the semiconductor industry.
Schedule: This is an hourly, full-time position working Monday through Friday, 6:15 AM – 3:45 PM, with opportunities for overtime. The role also includes on-call responsibilities, offering variety and the chance to make an impact beyond the standard workday. Flexibility to adjust to revised schedules or work additional hours on short notice may be required to meet customer or project needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related discipline; equivalent military training/experience or relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedule, including in cleanroom environments per semiconductor industry protocols.
  • Ability to wear all required cleanroom protective clothing and equipment.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs periodically throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Flexible availability to work additional hours or adjust schedules on short notice as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor processing and process equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer and system interface programs for production information analysis.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Experience training and mentoring team members in a global or cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; ability to create reports and document procedures.
Responsibilities

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of gas detection monitors and panels. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) activities.
  • Review design and installation documentation, including wiring diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain gas detection systems.
  • Conduct pre-functional and functional testing to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and operations teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Verify safety systems and emergency shutdown procedures.
  • Provide training for customers, third-party groups, and DOD staff on gas safety, equipment use, and best practices.
  • Develop, update, and maintain training materials, SOPs, and required documentation.
  • Support environmental, health, safety, and security programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain all required service records and project documentation per customer requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
