ONSITE MACHINIST

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Onsite Machinist to join our team. As an Onsite Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating portable equipment to perform a variety of machining tasks for shutdowns or emergency repair work. This includes tasks such as flange facing, pipe cutting and prepping, portable milling, line boring, journal turning, and more. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in machining, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A journeyman machinist or a registered apprentice at either 2nd or 3rd year
  • 2+ years of previous experience in onsite machining, manual machining, or related fields
  • Competent operating machine tools and equipment used in machining operations
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically to problem-solve effectively
  • Proficiency in working with measuring instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 100lbs for extended periods of time
  • Previous Forklift and Overhead Crane experience
    Training in supplemental safety courses such as CSTS2020, CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, WHMIS etc. is considered an added benefit.
