Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

In this role, you will report to the Site Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Hourly Rate: $28 - $30
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Novato, CA

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for inventory management tasks encompassing consumables, chemicals, samples, and other items, ensuring precise inventory control. Process requests to facilitate inventory movement both on and off-site, while meeting customer metric reporting requirements.
  • Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory, conduct cycle counts, perform yearly physical inventories, and provide detailed reporting.
  • Manage purchasing functions, including back-order reporting, order entry and expediting, overseeing direct factory shipments, coordinating with third-party support, handling quotes, maintaining document control, records, and resolving invoice or pricing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate shipping activities, including dispatching customer materials, addressing routine issues, operating basic warehouse equipment, inputting shipping data into computer systems, and conducting equipment inspections.
  • Handle hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide sample metrics updates, contributing to improved inventory accuracy.
  • Document and investigate quality events related to manufacturing operations, ensuring thorough root-cause analysis, determination of corrective action plans, assessment of product impact, and implementation of necessary remediation measures.
