Description

Primary role is to to carry out essential testing & certification of a variety of hydraulic, pneumatic & torque equipment as well as HAV testing of Pneumatic Tools & PAT Testing of Electric tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Good standard of education with a minimum of 3 GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Engineering, Technical or Mechanical diploma/certificate ideal but not essential.
  • Previous technical or mechanical working experience essential.
  • Must have a valid driving license and a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
  • Hardworking and conscientious must be able to carry out all aspects of the role.
  • Willing and keen to learn within new aspects of the role, open to change.
  • Demonstrate dependability and self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Some overnight stays will be required
Responsibilities
  • Repair a variety of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as required by the Company and the Customer.
  • The dismantling of tools and equipment as assigned, ensuring that all equipment is thoroughly inspected and the relevant job card completed both neatly and accurately with all the relevant details.
  • Regularly required to work at customer locations as part of the company’s on-site services. This work is dependent on the contracts that the Company has in hand at any given time.
  • To recognise when tools are wearing or close to failure & have them taken away for an estimate of repair.
  • Ensure that all equipment repairs and refurbishments are carried out safely and to the standards set by the Company’s Quality Procedures.
  • Ensures the maintenance of equipment is carried out to the required standard.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Carry out any other tasks as deemed reasonable by the Company which fall within your competencies.
  • Complies with all Company rules including all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.
