JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our therapy team to provide one one-on-one and/or small group support. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. This role requires creativity, patience, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education and registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Effective collaboration with other professionals, including occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.
  • Ability to create lesson plans that are innovative, engaging, and tailored to meet individual student needs.
  • Experience working with children with multiple exceptionalities, including but not limited to learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism, and developmental delays.
