with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Website Content Manager to lead the planning, development, and maintenance of content across OOD’s public-facing website.
This role is responsible for ensuring that all digital content is accessible, accurate, user-centered, and aligned with
OOD’s mission and brand.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing content within the Innovate Ohio Platform (IOP) using HCL Web Content Manager (WCM) tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree or higher in Web/Digital Media or Design, Internet/Information Design, or a related field.
2+ years of experience managing website content, preferably in the public sector or a regulated environment.
Proficiency with HCL Web Content Manager (WCM) or experience working within the Innovate Ohio Platform.
Proficiency with the Cloudinary Digital Asset Manager (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and user-centered design principles.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Piwik PRO) is a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience with content strategy and governance frameworks.
Knowledge of Ohio state government digital policies and procedures.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS basics and SEO best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, creation, and governance of website content to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with OOD’s communications goals.
Serve as the primary author and editor within the IOP WCM/HCL platform, managing updates, new content creation, and structural changes.
Collaborate with communications, program, and IT staff to gather content requirements and ensure timely updates.
Ensure all content meets digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 compliance).
Monitor website analytics and user feedback to inform content improvements and optimize user experience.
Manage the web content lifecycle, including regular audits and archiving.
Resource communications and program staff on content best practices and platform use.
Coordinate with Innovate Ohio Platform support teams for technical enhancements and troubleshooting.
