We are currently seeking a qualified OOSH Educator / Responsible Person to join our well-established service at Forster. This role will be offered on a casual basis.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As an Educator, you are expected to be an active member of a team which provides high quality childhood education and care to children. This includes:

  • Developing strong relationships with children at St Nicholas
  • Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families
  • Implementing the policies and associated procedures of St Nicholas at all times and
  • Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of St Nicholas

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

Proven experience working in an engaging and dynamic OOSH environment
Confidence using digital tools to document learning stories and children’s progress
A genuine passion for working with school-aged children and supporting their development through play, creativity and connection

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate III in Children’s Services or Certificate IV in School Age Education as identified by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority or be studying towards and early childhood or Primary Teaching qualification
  • Working with Children Check verification number
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (desirable)
  • Food Handler Basics Training (desirable)
