POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking OOSH Educators and Assistants to join the teams at several of our successful and well-established services across the Newcastle, Maitland and Hunter regions.
These opportunities will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories
  • Experience in an OOSH service (desirable)
  • Experience in sport directional coaching (desirable)
  • The ability to engage with children through playing a musical instrument (desirable)
  • Knowledge and practice of a second language (desirable)
  • The ability to incorporate relaxing / meditation or yoga techniques (desirable)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate III in Children’s Services or Certificate IV in School Age Education as identified by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority or be studying towards and early childhood or Primary Teaching qualification
  • Working with Children Check verification number
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (desirable)
  • Food Handler Basics Training (desirable)
