This is an exciting opportunity to join the Southeast Op Courage Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. As a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, you, as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, will primarily deliver the service across north Hampshire with the occasional need to support colleagues in other regions.
You will provide specialist assessment and formulation for veterans and transitioning military personnel presenting with complex mental health, substance misuse and social care issues. You will deliver psycho-educational packages as well referring on to relevant services/agencies and offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to multidisciplinary mental health staff, third-sector agencies and other, non-professional carers.

The post holder will have clinical responsibility for a case load as specified by the Service Manager or Team Lead.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering specific mental health interventions within their scope of practice and will work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the plan of care in line with the NICE and other relevant standards and guidelines.
The post holder will be responsible for devising high quality holistic mental health assessments and risk assessments/safety plans/crisis prevention plans with people on their caseload.
The post holder will have leadership skills and as an experienced mental health practitioner will direct and supervise junior staff and/or students within their area of responsibility.
