Mission Statement To serve as a compelling opportunity for early‑career professionals, attracting top talent to Abbott and accelerating their progression into the leadership pipeline through experiential learning, structured training, and performance-driven development. Program Highlights Operations PDP (OPDP) begin their careers at Abbott through a three-year program designed to provide broad growth and development, combining both breadth and depth of Operations experience. Upon completion, PDP participants transition into their next full-time roles, continuing to grow their careers and contribute as Abbott professionals, supported by the strong foundation of skills, experience, and network built during the program. Program Overview Over the course of three years, PDP participants engage in three critical career experiences designed to accelerate learning and development. PDP participants complete three distinct assignments across different divisions and/or functional areas, including Technical, Supervisory, and Operations Excellence roles. The program provides diverse development opportunities through rotations in areas such as Production, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and Operations Excellence. Rotation Guidelines PDP participants complete three assignments (12 months each) across different divisions and/or functional areas. Each assignment is unique and conducted under a different Assignment Manager, no assignment is repeated. PDP participants starting in July 2027 will complete the three‑year program by June 2030, with the final rotation being an international (overseas) assignment.
