UCL’s Open Access Team delivers green and gold open access services for all UCL academics, including facilitating compliance with funders’ open access policies, and managing open access budgets and publisher agreements. The Open Access Advisors are responsible for the day-to-day running of key open access services.
Working in a small team, the postholders will advise academics on gold open access and research funders’ policies (including UKRI, Wellcome, CRUK and BHF), implement workflows for publisher agreements, organise gold open access payments, advise on rights retention and contribute to service developments.
These two posts are full-time grade 6 maternity cover roles, to start as soon as practicable. The salary is £ 36,433 per annum, including London Allowance. These roles have an initial funding end date of 31 March 2026, but are likely to be extended beyond that date.
These roles are eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of one day per fortnight on site.
