The Medical College of Georgia’s Department of Emergency Medicine at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. This faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine will participate in instruction, oversight, and academic progress of Emergency Medicine residents, Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows, and medical students. This position will take an active role in resident, medical student, and fellow education concurrent with patient care. The desired candidate should be willing to commit to 13-15 shifts in the Emergency Department each month and take 1-2 calls per month and meet all core faculty requirements as outlined by the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position will be responsible for completing timely and formal evaluations as needed. The position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
MD, DO or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution. EM Residency trained
Active license to practice in the state of Georgia or meet all eligibility requirements
Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training.
Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
