Position Summary: AUIB invite applications for multiple Open Rank Faculty of Computer Engineering & Artificial Intelligence. These are primarily teaching-focused roles with opportunities for pedagogical research, curriculum development, and student mentorship. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator committed to undergraduate and graduate student success in a dynamic, project-based learning environment. Key Responsibilities: • Teach a 4/4 course load per academic year in Computer Engineering and AI, including but not limited to: Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture, Digital Logic Design, Machine Learning Fundamentals, Edge AI, or Robotics. • Develop and update course materials, labs, and project-based learning modules. • Provide effective academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate and post graduate students. • Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and assessment to ensure program relevance and excellence. • Participate in department service, such as lab coordination, student competition teams (e.g., robotics, hackathons), and outreach activities. • Engage in scholarly activities related to engineering education, pedagogy, or applied research. Ideal Candidate Profile: • Demonstrated potential for or evidence of excellence in teaching, research, and community services. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to teach core computer engineering courses with an emphasis on hardware-software integration and AI. • Strong record of research in the field of AI. • International Accreditation preparations and submissions. Education and Experience: • Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field. • Prior teaching experience at the college level as instructor of record. • Relevant industry experience in computing, hardware design, or AI applications. • Experience developing hands-on laboratory exercises or project-based curricula. • Interest or experience in pedagogical innovation and educational research. #LI - REMOTE Why AUIB?
