Position Summary : AUIB invites applications for multiple open-rank faculty positions in Industrial Engineering. These are teaching-intensive roles focused on delivering high-quality instruction in core industrial engineering topics. Successful candidates will contribute to preparing students with strong analytical, problem-solving, and system-thinking skills applicable to modern industrial environments. Faculty members will engage in teaching, laboratory supervision, curriculum development, and student mentorship, with opportunities for applied research and industry collaboration. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator committed to student success in a project-based, technology-enhanced learning environment. Key Responsibilities: • Teach a 4/4 course load per academic year in Industrial Engineering, including but not limited to: Operations Research, Production Planning and Control, Quality Engineering, Engineering Economics, Supply Chain Management, Simulation, and Systems Engineering. • Supervise laboratory sessions, software-based simulations, and senior capstone design projects. • Provide academic advising and career mentoring to undergraduate students. • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of teaching laboratories and specialized software tools. • Participate in departmental and college service, including accreditation activities (ABET), recruitment, and student organizations (e.g., IIE student chapter). • Engage with industry partners to enhance experiential learning and internship opportunities. • Stay current with industry trends such as Industry 4.0, data analytics, and process automation. Ideal Candidate Profile: • Demonstrated excellence or strong potential in teaching and curriculum development. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to integrate data analytics, optimization, and systems thinking into teaching. • Experience with project-based and experiential learning approaches. • Commitment to service, student engagement, and continuous improvement. Education and Experience: • Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or closely related field. • Prior teaching experience at the university level preferred. • Industry experience in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare systems, or service operations is an asset. • Experience with software tools such as Arena, Any Logic, MATLAB, Python, Minitab, or equivalent. • Interest in pedagogical innovation and applied research. #LI - REMOTE Why AUIB?
