Company Description School of Mining and Geosciences Job Description Workload is distributed between teaching, research and service activities. More specifically, the qualified candidate will: (1) play a leading role in the design, development, and delivery of courses for the Petroleum Engineering Program; (2) lead and coordinate research and act as investigator in research projects at the international level; (3) perform administrative duties as allocated by the University and contribute significantly to the mission of the University by representing the School. Excellent communication skills and English fluency are required. Qualifications The successful candidate must have a PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline, with a proven research track record and teaching experience commensurate with appointment rank. While open to exceptional candidates across all specialties, we especially encourage those to apply with expertise in Production Engineering, Artificial Lift, Flow Assurance, Stimulation, or Surface Facility research. Additional Information The appointment is a 3-year renewable contract subject to annual performance reviews. An attractive remuneration package for international faculty members includes: § internationally competitive salary; § annual holiday leave of 56 calendar days; § two flights for the appointee and dependents to their home country per year; § international health insurance; § rent-free apartment for the appointee and dependents; and, § relocation allowance including air fare for the appointee and dependents.
