We are seeking an experienced Open Source Networking Engineer to join our team in the Financial Services industry. As an Open Source Networking Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining open source networking solutions to meet the organization’s needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of the network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing open source networking solutions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and scalability
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network issues
  • Evaluating new technologies and tools to improve network performance
  • Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Broad knowledge of LAN, WAN and DC environments (Professional Level)
  • 5 years of experience with Open Source Network Operating Systems (e.g. Cumulus, SONiC)
  • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols in a highly available environment
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools
  • You know your way around with orchestration platforms as Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, Chef, Puppet, Azure Automation, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, AWS Cloud formation etc.
  • Clear understanding of consumer context and needs, as well as the value-add of your service to the consumer
  • Insight and implementation of desired structural infrastructure solution
  • Technical implications of Security and Risk principles
  • You can manage (monitor, evaluate, continuously improve) Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management processes
  • Knowledge of DevOps way of working (e.g., continuous delivery, cross-functional team set-ups, development of cross-skilled squad members)
  • Creating and improve documentation and work instructions on the delivered infrastructure solution
