JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. What You Will Do with JT4 The openMCT Computer Scientist will program software and follow systems engineering tasks, within a working group. You will identify potential risks, adhere to technical guidance, foster collaboration, properly comment out code & headers, and meet scheduled goals. JOB DUTIES & EXPERIENCE * Strong Docker and Linux skills * Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for front-end development * Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices * Experience with Angular JS (1.x) and/or other component-based frameworks * Experience with plugin-based architecture and modular software design * Ability to learn time -series/telemetry data and build data visualizations * Debugging skills using browser developer tools and testing frameworks * Knowledge with Git and open-source collaboration workflows * Ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively in a team environment REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline is required for this position. In addition, a Computer Scientist I must possess the following qualifications: * Knowledge of computer-based systems and applications * Programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasks * Familiarity with systems engineering and software development lifecycles * Effective verbal and written communication skills The incumbent must possess a valid, state issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $134,000 annually. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
