Job Title: Operating Department Practitioner
Contract: Temporary, due to last while approx. May 2025 (possibility for extension but not guaranteed)
Grade: Band 5
Department: Theatre (Ortho)
Location: Wrightington Hospital, Hall Lane, Appley Bridge, Wrightington WN6 9EP

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
· Deliver clinical expertise on a shift-by-shift basis, providing comprehensive patient care in the operating department
· Be proficient in Major ortho scrub, this includes Atune, PFC and Striker knees
- Able to scrub for Hip revisions and PPF surgery
- Upper limb surgery such as Lima and Stryker shoulders, & latitude elbows
- Soft tissue surgery of the knee such as ACL, MPFL, BTB and soft tissue shoulder
· Practice according to the MCHP reg/Health Professions Council (HPC), and Trust Code of Professional Conduct, guaranteeing a safe and high-quality service.
· Collaborate with various departments to enhance the patient journey, promoting efficient and effective care.
· Function as an autonomous practitioner, confidently making decisions to support patient and team needs.
