Reporting to the Manager, Heat & Power Plant, you will be responsible for: * Firing boilers and controlling the generation of a continuous supply of steam for heating, hot water and for the operation of equipment in the laundry and sterilizing area and kitchen. * You will also be responsible for all emergency calls during silent hours and is the Emergency Response Team Captain. How do I qualify? Required: * Completion of High School Diploma, with courses in shop mathematics and blueprint reading. * Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience * Certified as an Operating Engineer, 3rd class in the province of Ontario Preferred: * Fluent in French and English What skills should I possess to succeed in the role? * Able to use electronic and pneumatic test equipment * Good motor coordination and manual dexterity with tools and manipulating valves * Able to differentiate colors to detect signal lights indicating malfunctions * Intermediate computer skills. Responsibilities
