Description TFE has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our professional family. The work is to support the ongoing demolition operations at the Portsmouth Decontaminations and Decommissioning Department of Energy (DOE) project near Piketon, OH. The mechanic will be responsible for providing service to a wide array of large diesel equipment and trucks. TFE is an innovative and successful supplier of professional, technical, and administrative personnel in the U.S. nuclear energy complex and other commercial ventures. TFE excels in quickly providing the resources to enable our customers to meet their schedules and production requirements. Responsibilities Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of heavy equipment and including Dump Trucks/Semi's. Repair and troubleshoot engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel Mack MP8, PACCAR, etc. Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy-duty components. Perform DOT Annual Inspections on trucks as required. Meet qualifications for Brake Inspections and repair. Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion. Meet requirements for certifications. Administrative duties as related to the position. Other duties may be assigned. Open communication with the management team regarding job status, updates, and changes. Preventative maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Requirements Education and Experience Three years of relevant experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
