JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Under the supervision of the Plant Operations Director, the Operating Engineer will assist in administering, both minor and major projects, insure safe conditions and proper functioning of all fixtures, hardware and systems to comply with all local, state, and federal laws. The Supervisor will plan and direct the activities of the maintenance, security and communications departments, as well as oversee the programs to maintain building, grounds, equipment, and utility distributes in and around the Medical Center.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

• 2 years of college minimum preferred
• CFC or Electrical or Mechanical certifications or LC preferred but not required. Others are beneficial.
• Demonstrates expertise in at least two of the following trade areas with a strong working knowledge of allothers: Mechanical (physical plant), electrical (switch gear, major/minor electrical), plumbing (general), general carpentry, industrial HVAC, BAS, CMMS
• A minimum of at least 5 years total experience in hospital maintenance.
• 3 years experience in a maintenance management role not necessarily in a hospital.
