Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have a valid technical qualification certificate relevant to the role (e.g., Industrial Millwright, Aircraft Maintenance Technician). They also must be able to obtain a Certificate of Qualification as a Stationary Engineer or Compressor Operator, with Red Seal endorsement.
  • Requires post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience.
  • Must be available to work various days or shifts as required.
  • Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in mechanical, mathematical, and technical applications.
  • A valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the willingness to advance through all levels of classification. Advancement between grades will be contingent upon successful completion of oral, written, and/or practical examinations.
  • Must demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness with minimal supervision in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Must be clean shaven for respirator fit testing and use during duties.
  • May be required to enter a confined space.
Responsibilities
  • Starting, stopping, and monitoring of large jet engine driven natural gas compressor systems that individually develop between 25,000 - 44,000 horsepower.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial natural gas turbines, power turbines, and large compressors (centrifugal and axial) up to 44,000 horsepower utilized in the transportation of Natural Gas through the Dawn-Parkway System.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair large pipeline valves up to 48” and related compressor auxiliary equipment such as boilers, air compressors, fire pumps, emergency generators, etc.
  • Monitor and operate yard, pipeline systems, and auxiliary equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Perform isolations, blowdowns, and loading of natural gas pipelines.
  • Daily use of company computer for CMMS, time entry, and updating maintenance records.
  • Opportunity to demonstrate innovative thinking by quickly troubleshooting mechanical issues, alarms, and ensuring equipment returns to safe operation.
  • Offer technical guidance and support on processes and procedures.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to team members to help develop their skills.
