Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide leadership, expert guidance, and challenge in the design and delivery of a company-wide Operating Model design programme. The team will ensure alignment with rail sector strategic objectives, stakeholder needs, and transformation goals, driving measurable systemic-wide change and impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Head of Design and the wider design team in the development of the Operating Model, using agreed methodologies to deliver measurable outcomes. Ensure alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations while managing cross-functional teams and deliverables.
As an Operating Model Design, your main responsibilities will be to:

.Support the Operating Model design teams design and development, providing insight and technical support to deliver:

  • Core business process strategic intent
  • Development of the organisation accountability and activity mapping framework, identifying and documenting core and enabling activities across the organisation, including who performs them, how, and where.
  • Validate Interfaces and Accountabilities: Use DARCI or RACI frameworks to clarify roles and responsibilities across the business functions, divisions
  • Support the development of future-state process Maps, designing end-to-end processes for core business processes such as finance, HR, safety, and customer experience, rail operations
  • Design Organisation Structures, creating high-level organisational blueprints that reflect the future operating model, reflecting key accountabilities and activities
  • Align Capabilities and Systems, identify capability requirements and align them with technology, data, and governance structures
  • Development and consolidation of key design products and outputs e.g. accountability/activity map, project plan and RAID log
