Job Details Job Location: Viewmont Surgery Center - Hickory, NC 28601 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 2 Year Degree Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Health Care We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Manager (RN) to lead day-to-day OR operations with a focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and efficient use of resources. This role provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for operating room services while fostering a collaborative, team-based environment. The OR Manager is accountable for quality of care, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and staff development across the surgical department. What We Offer: Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance No on-call requirements No nights or weekends Competitive salary based on experience Supportive, teamwork-driven culture with cross-training opportunities Key Responsibilities: Manage, direct, and supervise all operating room services and patient care activities Ensure adherence to surgical schedules, policies, procedures, and standards of care Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development Verify employee credentials and maintain required licensure and certifications Define and maintain standards of nursing practice in the operating room Serve as a patient advocate and safety monitor during surgical procedures Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and other departments to enhance patient care and staff development Plan, develop, and manage the OR budget; monitor cost-effectiveness and resource utilization Ensure proper function, maintenance, and cost-conscious use of equipment and supplies Initiate and maintain policies and procedures governing nursing and OR services Foster a positive, efficient work environment and resolve issues promptly and professionally Represent the center in meetings, committees, and professional nursing organizations Support quality improvement initiatives and research efforts that enhance nursing practice Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to Universal Precautions Maintain regular, predictable on-site attendance Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment Five (5) years of operating room nursing experience Two (2) years of clinical supervisory experience in a surgical setting BLS and ACLS certification required CNOR certification, preferred PALS certification, preferred Why Join Us: This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role where your expertise is valued, your voice is heard, and your work-life balance is respected.
