OT NURSE (OPERATING THEATRE NURSE)

The OT Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures. This role includes assisting the surgical team, maintaining sterile conditions, ensuring and managing patient safety throughout the operation/invasive procedure.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered Nurse with valid SNB (Singapore Nursing Board) registration.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in an operating theatre or surgical setting.
• BCLS certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
• Good clinical judgment, a team player, and strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, endoscopy systems and sterile procedures is an advantage

• Prepare patients and OT environment for surgery.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining sterility.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies during surgery.
• Coordinate with the surgical team for smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate surgical records, ensure proper documentation and compliance with OT standards.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Attend to patient needs pre and post-surgery/invasive procedures
• Communicate effectively with doctors, anaesthetists, and medical staff to ensure seamless procedures
• Ad hoc duties as assigned
