OT TECHNICIAN (OPERATING THEATRE TECHNICIAN)

The OT Technician supports surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting medical staff. They play a crucial role in ensuring the technical setup is safe and effective for operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate/Diploma in Operating Theatre Practice or related healthcare field
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a surgical setting.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, endoscopy system and sterilization techniques.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.

• Set up surgical instruments and equipment before procedures.
• Ensure equipment is sterilized and functioning properly.
• Transport patient from Operating Theatre to Recovery Bay or vice versa.
• Assist during operations with positioning and draping.
• Bag and clear all general and biohazard waste
• Check and maintain OT equipment
• Manage OT inventory and restock supplies.
• Clean and prepare OT for the next procedure.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned
