Role Title: Process Excellence / Continuous Improvement Lead Reports to: GBS Transition & Projects Director Location: Pune, India Job Purpose: The Continuous Improvement Lead will be responsible for defining and deploying Lean and Operational Excellence standards across the TMICC GBS organization. This role will lead the development of a continuous improvement mindset and capability, embedding Lean principles (including daily management and performance management) and structured problem-solving methodologies. The individual will work closely with GBS Leadership Team members to build organizational capability and foster a culture of operational excellence. This leader will empower teams to identify root causes, eliminate waste and drive sustainable improvements to processes. They will also play a critical role in ERP system implementation by supporting global process owners, IT and operational teams in identifying global standards, local variants and conducting Fit-Gap analysis and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). The Continuous Improvement Lead will ensure that improvement actions are clearly defined and implemented, supporting functional leaders in execution. Ultimately, the role aims to simplify, standardize and optimize processes, working with the Innovation and Automation Lead to identify automation opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Define and implement Lean and Operational Excellence standards, frameworks and best practices for TMICC GBS. Lead the deployment of Lean principles, including daily management, performance management, visual management and 3Cs, across the organization. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by embedding structured problem-solving methodologies and coaching teams on root cause analysis and waste elimination. Work with GBS Leadership Team members to build capability and expand Lean knowledge across functional and operational teams. Mentor and guide Operational Excellence Experts to support capability development and deployment of best practices. Support ERP system implementation by collaborating with global process owners, IT and operational teams to identify global standards, local variants and perform Fit-Gap analysis and VSM. Ensure improvement actions are defined, tracked and implemented to close gaps between as-is and to-be processes. Partner with the Business Process Excellence team to ensure processes are correctly captured and aligned with global standards. Drive initiatives to simplify, standardize and optimize processes, eliminating non-value-added activities and waste. Collaborate with the Innovation and Automation Lead to identify and prioritize automation opportunities. Required Skills & Experience: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in Lean and Continuous Improvement roles, preferably in GBS or transactional environments (manufacturing experience acceptable), with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Demonstrate strong knowledge of Lean principles, daily management systems, visual management and structured problem-solving. Experience in ERP transformation projects and process optimization methodologies (Fit-Gap, VSM). Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
