Description
  • Plan and coordinate projects: Lead diving operations from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and defining project scope.
  • Supervise daily operations: Oversee the day-to-day functions of a dive team to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
  • Manage logistics: Arrange for crew changes, vessel schedules, immigration clearance (if applicable), and equipment mobilization.
  • Report to management: Provide regular updates to senior management on operational performance and key metrics.

Safety and compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols: Ensure all diving activities strictly adhere to safety standards from relevant bodies, such as IMCA, ADCI, or local regulations (e.g., SS511 in Singapore).
  • Manage risk: Conduct risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and oversee emergency response procedures.
  • Monitor dive teams: Closely supervise divers to ensure adherence to safety procedures and check for potential health or equipment issues.
  • Maintain records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all diving operations, maintenance, and safety inspections.

Team leadership and training

  • Lead dive teams: Supervise and mentor dive supervisors, divers, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety and professionalism.
  • Conduct training: Facilitate training programs to enhance the team’s technical skills and ensure all members are properly certified.
  • Conduct briefings: Hold pre- and post-dive briefings with the team to review operational and safety plans.

Client

  • Communicate with clients: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, assessing project requirements and providing regular updates.
  • Represent the company: Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and port authorities.
  • Relevant qualifications: Often holds diving qualifications and certifications, with a degree in a related field preferred.
