JOB SUMMARY:

The Head of Operations – Construction is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction through to delivery. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep knowledge of construction operations, resource planning, and regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
• 2-5 years of experience in construction operations,
• Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Lead the operational planning and execution of multiple construction projects across various sites.
• Develop and implement standardized operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Monitor overall project progress, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, legal regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment across projects.
• Drive cost control measures and support the preparation and tracking of operational budgets.
• Conduct regular site visits and audits to assess performance and compliance.
• Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance management.
• Report regularly to executive leadership on project performance, risks, and key milestones.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance/control programs across all operational activities.
• Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing teams, including project managers, site managers, and field engineers.
