Job Description Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Operation & Maintenance and Service HSE Director for the UK, who will partner with the Group HSE Director, Business Units, and Country Operations to provide strategic HSE support, establish integrated management systems, and guide organisational growth. The following is a list of non-exhaustive duties which may evolve with business needs. Coordinate with the Group HSE Director (function head) to provide support to the Business Unit's activity. Align with Business Unit’s VPs and Country Operation Managing Directors, providing advices, identify risks and opportunities, planning and implementing strategies to support Company growth within assigned business unit. Lead accident investigations when requested Promote a HSE strategic approach and overall HSE governance across his/her business unit Liaise with other departments to efficiently promote a best class HSE culture Develops and introduces HSE initiatives to address shortcomings in behavioral culture, raise awareness of HSE related issues and generally achieve ‘buy in’ from senior management and employees Responsible for the overseeing of the HSE Management System for the Projects/Country Operations under his/her responsibility ensuring adequate cost is allocated and control the respective budget Provide regular reports, assist the Group HSE Director (function head) to monitor or analyze the Group HSE Performance, to implement KVI HSE Management System and to establish Group annual targets Oversee the mobilization and ensure Projects HSE resources are suitable Willing to travel as needed. Qualifications Job Specific Qualifications A proven & natural leader with extensive credentials in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) in the field of Health, Safety and Environment. Able to provide strategic and operational leadership to the HSE needs of the business unit Systems & Service Solutions with 1.400+ HC, which is quickly growing & operating in a global & decentralised setup. Making sure that the O&M activities are executed safely, sustainably, and in compliance with legal, corporate, and Customer requirements. Able to set, maintain & continuously improve a unified HSE strategy, HSE mgt system & a strong integrated safety culture throughout the entire organisation that works effectively through all the activities taking place in offices, magazines, workshops, during short-term maintenance interventions and, longer term upgrade/modernisation works on third party sites & during long-term O&M in WtX and RG plants. Represent the Company and Businee Unit in HSE matters with external stakeholders such like Clients, regulators, and industry bodies. As a member of the BU SyS leadership team contributing to the positive business evolution in close alignment with its Executive Vice President and its collaborators. Qualified to lead & develop a team of up to 20 direct reports. Competence in working methods Strategic & analytical thinking with business acumen. Coaching leadership style & auditor competence. International mindset, able to build strong, de-centralized & cross-cultural teams and not hesitating to recruit for the growth. Driving cultural change towards proactive safety, not just compliance. Data driven decision-making to drive our HSE mgt system into a digital future. Digitalisation, visualisation, on-time and online availability of all the same … Able to implement & follow-up a system of leading indicators, predictive safety tools, and dashboards with tangible continuous improvement. Mitigating the accountability of the legal representatives of KVI by putting in place the appropriate delegations. Integrity, resilience, and adaptability in complex environments. Fluent in English (Other languages will be an added value).
