JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager with a strong background in managing multi-outlet operations, specifically within the Hunan cuisine or broader Chinese F&B industry. This role will oversee daily operations, drive strategic expansion, ensure quality and consistency, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver excellence in food, service, and profitability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in managing multi-unit operations in Chinese F&B, preferably with focus on Hunan cuisine.
  • Strong understanding of traditional Hunan culinary techniques, ingredient sourcing, and quality control.
  • Prior experience in setting up or managing central kitchens is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English; ability to coordinate with Chinese-speaking chefs and suppliers.
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as per business needs.
  • Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making capability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, food safety, and halal compliance standards.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple Hunan cuisine outlets, ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and manage outlet managers, kitchen teams, and service staff to achieve KPIs in sales, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
  • Develop and implement SOPs to maintain consistency in food quality, service, hygiene, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with culinary team on new product development, seasonal menus, and authentic Hunan recipe enhancement.
  • Plan and execute expansion strategies including site selection, new store openings, and staff training.
  • Manage supply chain and procurement in coordination with central kitchen or key suppliers, especially for China-imported ingredients.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare operational budgets, and ensure optimal P&L management across outlets.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance including SFA, HACCP, NEA, and HALAL (where applicable).
  • Conduct regular audits and performance reviews to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and uphold the company’s values in every aspect of operations.
