REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years’ transport/logistics operations experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore land transport regulations (LTA/WSH) and fleet maintenance cycles.
  • Hands-on with TMS/telematics, Excel/BI dashboards; data-driven problem-solving.
  • People leadership, shift/roster planning, contractor management, stakeholder communication.
  • Advantageous: ISO 9001/45001 exposure; Green logistics initiatives; Lean/Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Lead end-to-end land transport operations to ensure safe, compliant, on-time and cost-efficient movement of goods/personnel across Singapore. Accountable for fleet utilisation, route optimisation, contractor management, WHS/safety compliance, and service KPIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan daily/weekly transport schedules; optimise routes, loads and backhauls using TMS/GPS data.
  • Manage fleet operations (inspection, servicing, Road Tax/COE/LTA compliance, insurance claims).
  • Lead a team of dispatchers/coordinators and up to XX drivers; set rosters, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce safe driving policies.
  • Monitor KPIs: on-time performance, turnaround time, utilisation, cost per trip/km, fuel efficiency, incident rate.
  • Implement SOPs for job assignment, POD/ePOD, incident escalation and service recovery.
  • Vendor/sub-contractor governance: source, onboard, audit performance and safety compliance.
  • Customer operations: manage SLAs, handle escalations, conduct monthly reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Budgeting & cost control: fuel, tyres, maintenance, rentals/leases; initiate cost-down initiatives.
  • Compliance: MOM WSH, LTA rules, Dangerous Goods (if applicable), PDPA for driver/route data.
  • Risk & incident management: RCA, corrective actions, driver retraining.
  • Digitalisation: deploy/maintain Transport Management System, telematics, ePOD, geofencing, dashboards.
