JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and professional Operating Room (OR) Secretary to join our team at a prestigious healthcare facility in Dubai. As the OR Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of the surgical department by managing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth communication between the surgical team, patients, and other hospital departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as an OR Secretary or in a similar administrative role in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office management software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with medical professionals, patients, and families.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per mont
Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the operating room schedule, ensuring that all surgeries are booked and timed appropriately.
  • Communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to confirm the details of upcoming surgeries and ensure all necessary preparations are made.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including pre-operative and post-operative information.
  • Handle patient admissions and discharges related to the operating room procedures.
  • Ensure that all necessary surgical materials, equipment, and instruments are ready for each procedure.
  • Maintain and organize patient charts, ensuring that all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, family members, and medical staff regarding surgery schedules, preparation instructions, and patient status.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, including pre-operative consultations, follow-ups, and post-operative care appointments.
  • Manage the documentation and preparation of consent forms and other necessary paperwork for surgical procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols, policies, and regulations regarding patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Support the OR team in administrative duties as needed, ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods.
