Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating theatre, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
• Receive and assess patients before surgery and ensure correct patient, procedure, and surgical-site verification.
• Work as a Scrub Nurse and/or Circulating Nurse according to department requirements.
• Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout surgery.
• Perform instrument, sponge, needle, and equipment counts according to hospital policy.
• Prepare and position patients safely for surgery while protecting privacy and preventing pressure injuries.
• Monitor patients' condition and promptly report any abnormalities.
• Assist with surgical safety checklists and documentation.
• Maintain infection-control and sterilization standards.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal of specimens.
• Check surgical equipment and report malfunctioning or defective equipment.
• Maintain adequate theatre stock, instruments, medications, and consumables.
• Provide safe transfer and handover of patients to recovery/PACU or other departments.
• Follow DHA regulations, hospital policies, professional standards, and patient-safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• DHA license , with 6 to 7 yrs of experience in the UAE
• Current BLS certification; ACLS may be preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, infection prevention, and patient safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work shifts and in a high-pressure surgical environment.
