This role is based out of our Oakville office and will report to the Business Process Owner.

JOB SUMMARY

The Operational Business Data Analyst will analyze and interpret manufacturing and production data to support decision-making and process optimization. They will follow the data governance model to enter data into SAP systems and other data sources to generate insights, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or equivalent
  • Certification in SAP is an asset (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate)
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Data Management or Analyst in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, SAP highly preferred
  • Experience with data integration and automation within SAP environments is an asset
  • Proficiency in SQL, MS Excel and PowerBI
  • Familiarity with manufacturing metrics (e.g., OEE, cycle time, yield).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and build data for entry into SAP ERP and other data management systems
  • Support quality remediation and cleanse system data per data governance quality audit reporting
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  • Support key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality to drive efficiency, quality, and output
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production inefficiencies and data quality issues
  • Provide data-driven insights to support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop strategies for process optimization
  • Identify and quantify the impact of process changes on manufacturing efficiency
  • Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to understand data requirements
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through presentations and reports
  • Partner with IT and data governance teams to ensure data accessibility and compliance
