WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• First and foremost, your personality: your reliable, proactive and careful way of working, your teamwork skills, your initiative paired with your communication and assertiveness skills.
• Successfully completed commercial studies or comparable training, preferably in foreign trade management
• Your analytical and goal-oriented work style, as well as your excellent understanding of numbers, are essential.
• Initial experience in grocery shopping, ideally with a focus on animal protein.
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
• Confident use of MS Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Pragmatic approach combined with strategic thinking.
• Experience in handling worldwide meat imports is desirable.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Be part of the procurement of food at the national and international level, in the category of animal protein.
• Support in ensuring the ongoing meeting of needs
• Conducting needs analyses and market observations
• Price negotiations for items
• Processing and tracking orders
• Handling complaints to ensure our product quality
• Clarification of delivery problems and complaints
• Advising our sales teams on new product variations and product knowledge
• Inventory control, contract monitoring
• Active support of strategic product range development
• Managing operational issues with the interfaces
• Responsibility for managing and optimizing all operational purchasing activities, as well as providing support on strategic issues.
• Support in the development and implementation of purchasing, commodity group and supplier strategies
• Conducting price, contract and terms negotiations for the selected items with the strategic purchasing department.
• Inspiring supplier and trade fair visits at home and abroad
• Identification & Implementation of Process Optimizations
