This position is part of Novanta’s World of Medicine (WOM) business unit. Specialized in the field of Minimally Invasive Medicine, WOM develops devices and accessories so that doctors can operate with small cuts. We produce Cameras, Insufflators, Medical Pumps, and tubing that makes diagnosis and treatment easier for everyone. Our insufflators and pump systems dilate cavities in the body and turn previously complicated surgeries into minor procedures. Together with customers, doctors, and technical experts, our teams continuously search for new ways to innovate.

Primary Responsibilities

• Management of external warehouse (management of deliveries to and from external warehouse, checking external storage levels)
• Shipping management (delivery note and invoice issuing)
• Logistic tasks, forwarding ordering, communication with incoming inspectors and warehouse manager
• Manage operational direct purchasing activity for Novanta Medical business (production and non-production facilities and services) by constantly driving suppliers towards improving Quality, Cost and Delivery levels.
• Carry out complex purchasing tasks from enquiries.
• Improve commercial/procurement conditions (price, lead time, payment terms, etc.) continuously.
• Optimize purchasing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain ongoing internal cross-functional communication and as well with suppliers.
• Document purchasing processes in full.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

• Strong ability to communicate and influence.
• Ability to learn new systems, meets objectives and works independently in a matrix organization – Minimal supervision.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Flexible approach with strong Team Spirit.
• Confident use of advanced IT skills in carrying out tasks (MS Office Excel).
• Good SAP knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills in English; German is a plus.
