(Subject to review and approval) About the Role: The Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol & Drug Services are seeking a highly experienced and strategic individual to join the team as the Operational Director within the Older Person’s Mental Health Service (OPMHS) program. The OPMHS program area is a specialist mental health service that provides care and support for community members 65 years of age and above, and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from 50 years of age. This program provides evidence based and personalised care planning for recovering people while also collaborating with carers, nominated persons, supports and other key stakeholders. In this position, you will be providing strategic direction, leadership, planning and evaluation for this multidisciplinary program. You will be working collaboratively with the team to ensure high quality and sustainable health services are being delivered across the program. You will also be leading and promoting commitment to customer service, actively engage in the Health Infrastructure program, ensuring compliance with the National Standards for Mental Health Services and National Health Standards. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience of compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and agency guidelines and regulations. You will also be able to anticipate, and establish priorities, and work with a high level of autonomy under broad direction, with a concurrent need to resolve complex issues and deliver quality outcomes. You will also possess exceptional leadership abilities to mentor and guide diverse teams and external parties with a collaborative and influential manner.
