Operational Due Diligence (Associate Director/ Senior Associate) with Asset

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in operational due diligence, with a focus on private equity funds.
• Prior experience in internal audit and assurance of private equity funds are also welcome.
• Good understanding of private equity fund structures, investment strategies, and operational processes, particularly those of managers in Europe and North America. Technical understanding of cyber and information security controls is preferred. Additional knowledge of private credit funds is a plus but not a must.
  Our client is an established and blue-chip PE/investment firm. It is based in town. It invests in private equity funds, with a focus on the development and innovation of new investment platforms and products to make private equity (“PE”) accessible to a broader group of investors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in operational due diligence, with a focus on private equity funds gained with an investment firm or an ODD service provider. Prior experience in internal audit and assurance of private equity funds are also welcome.
• Good understanding of private equity fund structures, investment strategies, and operational processes, particularly those of managers in Europe and North America. Technical understanding of cyber and information security controls is preferred.
• Additional knowledge of private credit funds is a plus but not a must.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Committed, flexible and takes initiative at work. Able to thrive in a dynamic work environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Due Diligence Review:
• Conduct operational due diligence on private equity fund managers, their funds and co-investment opportunities by evaluating their operational infrastructure, internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance frameworks.
• Review and assess the relevance of findings raised in the operational due diligence reports prepared by third party information providers.
• Provide an assessment of private equity fund managers, their funds and co-investment opportunities’ operational due diligence posture and provide a recommendation to the firm’s Operational Committee and Investment Committee regarding the investment opportunity, as well as any relevant findings.
• Ongoing Monitoring:
• Maintain and enhance the firm’s framework for conducting operational due diligence on private equity managers, funds and co-investment opportunities.
• Track outstanding issues arising from operational due diligence and work with the investment team for updates on these issues on a periodic basis.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in operational due diligence.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with the investment team to engage private equity fund managers to gather necessary information and resolve any due diligence-related issues.
• Participate in meetings with prospective and existing fund managers, where required, to discuss operational practices and address any concerns.
