About The Role We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join the Operational Excellence Team, reporting to the Head of Operations. To perform in this role, you will need to be highly organised and analytical, and an effective communicator across all levels of the organisation. You will need a passion for Operational Excellence and improving processes. . You will be the ultimate problemsolver, you will see gaps in processes as challenges to be overcome. You will support the team to evaluate existing processes, define, present and help implement your solutions to improve safety, speed and performance across Fulfilment and Delivery Services. You may support multiple projects simultaneously. This role will support the wider operation by developing and implementing robust processes to a point where they can be handed to Fulfilment Operations in a BAU capacity. Being dynamic and able to pivot at short notice is essential to being able to flourish in this role. Our Operational Excellence is a growing team helping the business achieve long term goals. The mission of the team is to bring logistic expertise, develop processes and engineering systems as well as guiding the business decisions based on supply chain analytics. In this role you will: Solve problems without a current solution. Discover what the issue is, move fast to bridge the gap and implement robust long term solutions. Analyse Fulfilment Centre (FC) and Delivery Services (DS) data and documentation and consider improvements. Develop processes and procedures set scalable standards that can be implemented across a fast growing network. Optimise first, middle and last mile operations to improve safety, speed and performance. Improve processes and methodologies to improve all parts of the fulfilment network. Lead Kaizen activities and process mapping exercises across multiple stakeholder groups. Provide on-the-ground support for operational teams to identify areas for continuous improvement to processes Audit the effectiveness of existing processes and report insights back to the Operational Excellence team Develop and communicate KPIs, metrics and reports to senior stakeholders. Support external discussions between SKUTOPIA and partners Collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of continuous improvement activities Continue to develop the roles and responsibilities of this role as the SKUTOPIA grows. Ability to travel across multiple locations as and when required to perform the above duties. We think you will need: Strong years experience in Supply Chain, preferably within a warehousing and logistics environment Creative and curious mindset Excited about AI and its role in improving efficiency, and can provide examples of use cases.
