The Role At Baxter Healthcare, we are committed to establishing a benchmark for operational efficiency and ongoing enhancement. As the Operational Excellence & Learning & Development Manager, you will have a pivotal role in furthering our mission. Your knowledge will guide the development and implementation of the Baxter Operating System (BOS) program, while you supervise continuous improvement projects across our Toongabbie Plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead a specialised Learning and Development Team, guaranteeing that our wider manufacturing and quality teams receive top-tier training. Responsibilities Develop and carry out the BOS plan, guiding team members across the site to reach target maturity levels Oversee the Margin Improvement Projects (MOP) Portfolio to ensure continuous collection and evaluation of ideas to fill the 3-year pipeline and deliver existing MIPs timely Facilitate the Baxter Improvement Teams program to address key opportunities through project selection and team facilitation Manage change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during new process and technology implementations, addressing resistance and getting employees on board Collaborate and communicate with SLT and various teams to foster operational excellence, align with goals, and report progress effectively Supervise and guide the Learning and Development team, offering guidance and assistance in accomplishing training priorities throughout the organization Develop Skills Matrices for teams, assess skill gaps, and align training with operational needs Supervise the creation and rollout of extensive training programs that encompass operational procedures and professional growth, applying both traditional and e-learning methods Guarantee the establishment of systems and procedures to ensure timely completion of training courses organisation-wide, aligning with Quality objectives. Key requirements Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related fields Advanced degrees or certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Learning and Development, or Project Management are highly desirable 5+ years experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, and learning & development, 2+ years in a leadership role Ability to lead a team and cross collaborate across numerous teams Analytical Problem Solving skills Good written and spoken communication skills Extensive Project Management experience. #li-baxgen #LI-JB1 #ind-aus Equal Employment Opportunity Baxter is an equal opportunity employer.
