EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or other college degree.
  • Experience of at least 5 years in events
  • Operational, Warehouse, Logistics or comparable experience of 3+ years

  • While not participating in an event this job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
  • During events the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (5 hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message and email is required. The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 30 lbs. is required.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Logistics and Warehouse team that drives operational excellence to achieve division objectives.
  • Oversee the coordination with trucking and shipping partners for all event and office related shipping of trailers and LTL shipments.
  • Oversee the management of event inventory and equipment.
  • Oversee the management of office supplies and equipment.
  • Manage, motivate and retain Logistics and Warehouse team.
  • Lead Hiring and Onboarding of Logistics and Warehouse team in accordance with required compliance
  • Collaborate with the Functional Supervisors and Regional GM to evaluate and conduct annual performance evaluations of team members.
  • Collaborate with the Event Coordinator and Logistics & Production Coordinator to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Operate within budgetary limits and success metrics established.
  • Manage the logistics team’s performance to consistently encourage retention, growth and productivity.
  • Perform any duties of a Logistics Coordinator as needed.
  • Assist in the planning, logistics, delivery and unloading of mats for Varsity summer camp programs.
  • Assist in the management of all assets such as (buildings, equipment, insurance, etc)
  • Serves in a mid-level management and/or support role at events
  • Participate on various committees and/or boards essential to our business both indirectly and directly
