REQUIREMENTS:

  • Third Party management experience for 5+ years
  • Experience with Tier 1 and 2 WMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and labor management.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Monday, etc.) and business process mapping.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel to warehouse sites as needed (up to 100%)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field. MBA or PMP certification is a plus. 5+ years management experience in an active warehouse operations at the GM level.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The WMS Implementation Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of Warehouse Management Systems across distribution centers, ensuring alignment with business requirements, operational excellence, and IT standards. This role partners with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, logistics, and third-party vendors to deliver high-impact solutions that enhance warehouse productivity, accuracy, and visibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of WMS implementations, from staffing POD members with specified subject matter expertise, project planning/management and final configuration to go-live and post-deployment support.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, POD Implementation members, current operational site leaders, and WMS vendors/consultants.
  • Build detail project management plans to ensure all key aspects are identified and can be tracked during implementation to serve as a checklist to manage the “detail” related to the scale and importance of the WMS integration.
  • Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and translate business needs into functional system specifications.
  • Oversee system configuration, testing (UAT), data migration, and integration with ERP, TMS, and other systems. With key focus on partnering with source IT team, WMS software provider and other external / internal resources required to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate training programs for end-users and provide operational support during and after system rollout.
  • Monitor and report on project KPIs and system performance; drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a lesson learned journey and continuous improvement activities, and use this detail to make all next WMS integrations better/
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, data security protocols, and internal control requirements.
