Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF). Come be a part of a high-speed low-drag organization providing unique and tailored solutions for our National Defense! SPA has an immediate need for an Operational Requirements Analyst. Responsibilities SPA is seeking an Operational Requirements Analyst to support the Headquarters United States Space Force (HQ USSF) Chief Strategy and Resourcing Office (CSRO). This office is responsible for carrying out and executing strategic planning, long-range resource allocation, and developing, directing, and conducting USSF programming activities necessary to complete the USSF Program Objective Memorandum (POM). Additionally, the CSRO delivers integrated Service space strategies, policies, and requirements to provide organized, trained, and equipped space forces for employment by Joint Force Commanders. Job duties require the candidate to be capable of applying concepts related to Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), and reconnaissance/surveillance sensors systems to develop capability requirements for USSF programs. Key duties include but are not limited to the following: Providing Space Force requirements analysis and support interface with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the offices of the Joint Staff, Department of the Air Force (to include the Secretary of the Air Force and Space/Air Force Staffs), Field Commands, and other Joint, Service, Intelligence Community, interagency, and international partners, as required. Interface and perform duties to support the development of Service policy, guidance, oversight, and priorities and ensures Service integration with the JCIDS. Participate in the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) process, to include attending Functional and Joint Capabilities Boards (FCB/JCB) at customer direction. You will support drafting capability development products such as Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capability Developments Documents (CDDs), and Service level requirements documents, such as Rapid Prototyping Documents (RPRDs), and Strategic Requirements Documents (SRDs). Provide support in planning, developing, and coordinating classified activities and capabilities in support of USSF’s global mission and strategic Force Design. Study and assess innovative technologies for further development/testing and as necessary, transition planning and support, to include rapid development, acquisition, and fielding of Protection capabilities to meet urgent operational needs. Advise senior leadership in planning, developing, and coordinating capabilities development process actions with the CSRO. Synthesize data to assess and provide feedback on the capability development artifacts for each program within your requirements branch. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Top Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university 3 years of experience in program support and or systems analysis Independent worker capable of understanding complex technical issues and producing recommendations for a wider audience Experience with or knowledge of ground-based radar and optical telescopes, space-based sensors, and/or data analysis platforms Reports to designated work location in Arlington, VA, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer Desired Qualifications: TS/SCI clearance Experience developing space, ISR, and Combatant Command priorities (requirements, acquisition, funding, etc.) HQ USAF/USSF/SAF experience Familiarity with TMT and/or or other HQ staffing tools Many jobs at SPA require obtaining, holding, and maintaining eligibility for a designated clearance based on the company and/or client contract requirements. Should it be required, an individual must be able to obtain the appropriate clearance within a reasonable amount of time based on the needs of the client. In some cases, the individual may need the requisite clearance before being able to be actively employed. Additionally, due to the protected nature of the work process and product at SPA, all positions require the execution of the SPA Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Some employees may be required to sign additional documents or complete other pre-employment or ongoing testing. SPA employees typically work in a variety of office settings, some at an SPA office and some at designated client locations, where daily activities may include, but are not limited to, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, using computers and other technology, and being sequestered in SCIFs or other secured areas with limited access to outside resources or privacy. Other security requirements may inform dress code, personal accessories permitted, or technology usage. When applicable, employees are required to comply with the terms and conditions of client contracts as specified by SPA in its sole discretion, including, but not limited to, hours, location, timing, and technology usage, that meet client logistical and security work requirements.

Responsibilities

The Operational Requirements Analyst will support the HQ USSF Chief Strategy and Resourcing Office in strategic planning and resource allocation. Key duties include providing requirements analysis, supporting policy development, and participating in the Joint Requirements Oversight Council process.
