OPERATIONAL SUPPORT HUB

We’re looking for a Hub Operator to join our Transportation team based in Southeast Regional Hub control room at Coldharbour Depot, Aylesford. This is a 24/7 control room and you will be working a 12-hour shift pattern which includes weekends and nights.

Location: Aylesford, Kent
Hours: Permanent Fulltime day and night shifts on a 12 hour 4 on 4 off rotation
Salary: £31,200 per year + benefits

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

As a Hub Operator you’ll be providing a single point of contact for Kier Highways. Supporting the Area 3 & 4, Birmingham & Shropshire contracts response to incident management, Safety observations, stakeholder liaison and general enquiries.

Your day to day will include:

  • Act as first point of contact for Kier in relation to incidents, emergency repairs and severe weather on the strategic road network
  • Produce and maintain accurate incident logs. Recording information gathered from multiple sources
  • Monitor Airwave radio communications, ensuring a strict radio discipline is maintained

This role of Hub Operator is great if you:

  • Have excellent customer service experience with great verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Are computer literate adept with Microsoft Office programmes and other application
